Extremity Adjustments
Chiropractic is not just for backs. Shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet all get adjusted here.

What it is
Understanding extremity adjustments
A minor problem in a finger or a toe changes how you move. Alter how you walk for long enough and the compensation turns into a bigger problem somewhere up the chain.
Extremity adjusting restores alignment and range in the joints away from the spine, using stretching, graded pressure and specific adjusting to improve joint mechanics.
How it works
How an extremity adjustment works
Restoring flexibility, alignment and range of motion in the joints away from the spine.
Assess the joint mechanics. We look at how the joint actually moves and where in its range it stops, along with what that is doing to the joints above and below it.
Stretch and apply graded pressure. Technique here combines stretching with gentle, graded pressure rather than force, because these joints are smaller than the spine.
Adjust to correct the mechanics. Specific adjusting movements correct the misalignment and improve how the joint tracks through its range.
