How it works
How to prepare for the exam

Sleep well the night before. Rest supports healthy blood pressure and alertness on the day, and blood pressure is one of the things being measured.
Bring your paperwork. Glasses or contacts, hearing aids, and a current list of any medication you take, along with relevant records from your own doctor.
Go easy on salt and caffeine. Both can push blood pressure up on the morning of an exam, which is a needless way to complicate an otherwise straightforward appointment.
